The Music Hall
A radical transformation of transportation is nearly upon us. Already we have seen early signs with Uber and Lyft disrupting the taxi industry and have heard about self-driving cars from Google and others. Why are companies investing in this so heavily? Are we really just a few years away? What benefits or costs to society? What impact will we see outside of transportation itself? What does it mean for parking, transportation, open areas, where people elect to live, insurance, shipping/delivery, etc? Just how long do we have before this transformation is all around us?
Joshua Cyr, Director of Alpha Loft, will take us on a journey to understand the social, philosophical, & technical implications as well as what some futurists best guesses are about our very near future.
Guest curated by Joshua Cyr, Director – Education and Acceleration at Alpha Loft.
