Please provide your 30-second pitch about your company.

ChartaCloud specializes in providing technology solutions to health care providers that enable significant advances in operational efficiency and increase their effectiveness in the delivery of quality care in the age of HIPAA and CMS regulatory oversight. We provide foundational secure IT systems, electronic forms automation, robotic assistive medical care, remote patient monitoring, and advanced health care analytics. Our solutions represent not only the ‘best in breed’ in health care technology, but are supported with a full service, ‘end-to-end’ approach to solution planning, procurement, integration, deployment, and on-going support so that our customers can focus on caring.
Who or what was your best resource for starting your company?
My family. My husband works as our Chief Operations Officer and it is motivating to challenge each other and work to build our company every day together. My mom and dad have also been incredibly supportive in countless ways. My dad has spent over 40 years in the technology industry, and he is the best mentor and advisor someone could ask for. I can’t express how much their belief in their “millennial entrepreneur” has meant – ChartaCloud would not be possible without it.
What was your biggest obstacle in starting your company and how did you overcome it?
Creating market awareness of our products and services. What good is a great resource if no one knows about it? To overcome this obstacle, we try to put ‘feet on the street’ – focusing on the state of New Hampshire, trying to schedule as many in-person meetings as possible and attend as many industry-related events, such as tradeshows as possible. We are now beginning to support these efforts with our digital marketing strategy – informative webinars, website, blog, and Twitter. We find that making our website a ‘place to learn’ helps our customers find confidence in our ability to provide the right type of guidance as they plan their operational strategies.
What’s the best advice you have received?
Actually, I keep a famous quote by comedian Steve Martin on my desk, it says “Be so good they can’t ignore you”.
What about the NH lifestyle appeals to you?
I grew up in Austin, Texas and decided to move to New Hampshire after traveling here on several occasions. New Hampshire is great. I love the active lifestyle that New Hampshire can support – whether it be skiing at Loon Mountain, hiking the trails, or going to the beach. I also like the strong sense of community and opportunities to get involved. The entire state has so much to offer – yet provides the local support that benefits any budding start-up. For example, our company was recently a finalist in the New Hampshire Start Up Challenge –it was a great way to meet other entrepreneurs and focus on the best way to deliver our company message to a broad audience. It is really apparent that New Hampshire cares about fostering the start up culture. It is a great place to start a business.
What does the future look like for your company?
ChartaCloud is positioning itself to be a leader of technology services and expertise for health care providers. As the demand for home care services and desire for baby boomers to ‘age in place’ continues to grow, care providers will be forced to seek technology solutions to keep up with growing demand. I am especially excited about the positive impact that we can bring through the use of telehealth and telemedicine, predictive analytics, and robotic services. As the walls of the hospitals ‘break down’, I believe ChartaCloud will become an even more important resource for our customers to learn about the right technologies to help them differentiate their specialties and have a partner to help them throughout the technology deployment process.
