Ideas that are scalable are fundable for the most part. So, if you have an idea for a business that can grow and it can start out small and get to, you know, some number of millions of dollars, and then from there build an even bigger company.
If we’re putting in hundreds of thousands of dollars into a company it’s got to get to the tens of millions of dollars to be able to give us a return that we would expect it to be. And, I think, you know, that’s kind of the broad strokes. It’s got to be big enough to warrant an investment of hundreds of thousands of dollars initially. That’s often followed by more hundreds of thousands or some number of millions.
At a very modest level to have a company that’s going to get to the size that gets angel investors excited about being involved. That’s not to say that there aren’t plenty of good businesses that can make entrepreneurs a really good living that are a million dollars, or two million, or five million in size. But, you’re probably not going to get funded by an angel investor. It’s just not big enough to offer them the type of return that they’re going to demand.
